Rafael Calado joined FabLab Lisboa as the Open days Coordinator in 2014, and after as Project and Community Manager.
He coordinates residencies and links the Lab and the maker scene, to the Circular Economy Portugal movement.
In 2016 he organized the first big meeting of FabLabs in Portugal. Since then he is involved in events and partnerships, as Pecha Kucha, Sofar Souds, Indielisboa, Workshops and programs as Young Creators Lisboa or Repair Café.
He Co-organized the Portuguese Fablabs Pavilion construction and program, in the last edition of Lisbon Maker Faire and the FabLab Lisboa events in the EMW since 2016.
Rafael is an active colaborator in the Portuguese FabLabs network and also in the European Creative Hubs Network.
Co-Founder of Repair Café Lisboa 2016 and BioHacking Group Lisboa 2017 is now promoting a BioHacking Lab in colaboration with the Lisbon Sciences Faculty.
